Threat To Files

1. Unauthorised Access 
       Hacking can be a problem when online as it can 
ruin your files and put viruses on your computer
       -Position of computer and use a password. 
2. Internet & Email 
        The internet is a threat because of hacking and 
        emails can send viruses.
       -Worry about what sites you go on to and if they are legitimate.
       -Dont open attachments unless you trust the person who sent them.
3. Viruses, Trojans & Spyware 
      -This is when you have unauthorized access such as
        viruses and trojans use your computer spyware. Spyware 
       is a file downloaded from internet and grab all your password 
       and account numbers and sends them back to the writer. The 
      other type of virus is one that causes harm to system meaning you 
      cant write your files. A trojan is a hidden virus that pretends to be 
     another file  and when opened it ruins your files.
  4. Power Failure 
      Power failure can cause the loss of unsaved work. 
      -Corrupts files, ruins the machine and loses file when power is cut off.
5. Natural Disaster 
      Natural disasters can lead to data corruption and unauthorized access.
      -Keep files in a high place, not on ground floors incase of flooding etc.
        Have folders backed up on  several things.
6. Data Corruption 
       -A mix up within the file, which results in the computer not being able 
       to open it. This can be caused by any of the above.
     7. Peer to Peer Access
       -Opening up acces to your machine with lime-wire to anyone on the 
        network making it easy for hacker to feed viruses and malware to your computer.
